Description Located within the Snowdonia National Park, this school provides care and education for up to 26 children and young people with severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
The purpose and objective of work is to ensure pupils are cared for throughout the day and to carry out all individual programmes for each child in the most appropriate manner. The school aims to bring about a reduction in episodes of challenging behaviour and to increase levels of functional communication, self-care and independent living.
The School takes full advantage of its location and many outdoor activities can be easily accessed from its hillside setting. Activities include horse riding, canoeing, walking and boating. The pupils are also encouraged to access community facilities such as leisure centres, swimming pools, libraries and local shops and cafes.
A good level of English, a driving licence and a willingness to drive in the UK are required. We ask for a minimum commitment of 2 years. To some extent evening and weekend shift work is possible. <p>
